Jermaine Burton was a second national championship ring, but he opens the preseason as a candidate for the best wide receiver honor in college football.
As a transfer from Georgia, Burton recorded 26 receptions for 497 yards and five touchdowns in 2021 for the Bulldogs. He decided to transfer to the University of Alabama before the spring. Burton participated in spring practice and earned high accolades from Nick Saban and his teammates. According to the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Burton made the Fred Biletnikoff Award watch list. Amari Cooper, Jerry Jeudy, and DeVonta Smith all won the Biletnikoff Award at Alabama.

Burton brings Southeastern Conference experience, strong routes, good hands, quality speed, and creates separation.
He and Bryce Young spent time in California before Burton went to Georgia to play football. It will be interesting to watch the connection between both players. Burton anticipates becoming the fourth Tide receiver to win the Biletnikoff honor.
