Alabama 38 – Tennessee 24
Key Insight: Alabama’s offensive line has to protect Bryce Young as he returns for this matchup. The Crimson Tide has to establish its rushing attack too. This is an opportunity for Jermaine Burton, Traeshon Holden, and Ja’Corey Brooks to step up and help the passing game.
Defensively, the Tide has to shut Henson Hooker down. Tennessee will score points, but the Tide must force several three-and-outs.

Alabama 31 – Tennessee 17
Key Insight: Alabama’s defense will have their hands filled with Tennessee’s offense. Hendon Hooker has been impressive this season when there is no pressure applied. This is where I feel Alabama’s dominant pass rush can make a big impact. They will have to consistently get Hooker off his spot.
If the Tide can do that, they will be able to have some success against the Vols. Bryce Young looks good to go, but how healthy is his shoulder? He looked good going through warmups. I expect Young to make a splash in his return.
PATRICK DOWD / ALABAMA BEAT REPORTER
Alabama 35 – Tennessee 31
Key Insight: For the first time in years the Third Saturday in October carries a great deal of importance for both programs. Tennessee is led by quarterback Hendon Hooker who is putting together his own Heisman campaign as the reigning winner Bryce Young remains a game-time decision. With Young’s health in question, the game makes it difficult to evaluate but with his progression, throughout the week it appears as if there’s a lean toward him getting on the field. And with that, there will be a lean towards Alabama to get it done.
