Denver thought it was getting a big-time collaboration with Russell Wilson and Jerry Jeudy, but it is not happening.
Jeudy has not had the breakout year he envisioned in the offseason. The former Alabama standout has 17 receptions for 290 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He was a two-time 1,000-yard weapon for the Crimson Tide (2018-19), including 1,315 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2018. Jeudy won the Fred Biletnikoff Award and Consensus All-American honors in 2018.
He was a two-time first-team All-SEC selection in 2018 and 2019. Jeudy got selected at No. 15 overall by the Broncos in the 2020 NFL Draft. Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, he is in the middle of NFL trade talks. Jeudy wants to go somewhere and flourish as a primary receiver. He dominated during three seasons in Tuscaloosa, including a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2017. We will see if a team becomes interested in trading for the former first-round target.
Big-name WRs generating trade interest:
— #Texans WR Brandin Cooks has been the target of multiple calls.
— #Steelers WR Chase Claypool has been in focus, but is not expected to be deal, barring a shift.
— Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy has been the center of calls, as DEN sputtered.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) October 23, 2022
Jeudy is in his third season in the National Football League.
