Alabama wide receiver Christian Leary plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, he announced on social media on Wednesday.
I want to thank The University of Alabama and the coaching staff for an unforgettable 2 years. Thank you for the opportunity and the knowledge I have gained throughout that time, in saying that I will be entering the transfer portal.
— Christian Leary (@ChristianLeary4) November 30, 2022
Leary appeared in 10 games for the Crimson Tide this season with the bulk of his role coming on special teams. He recorded one reception for six yards in the team’s season opener against Utah State in his 2022 campaign.
“I want to thank The University of Alabama and the coaching staff for an unforgettable 2 years,” Leary wrote in his post. “Thank you for the opportunity and the knowledge I have gained throughout that time, in saying that I will be entering the transfer portal.”
Leary, who arrived in the class of 2021, is the sixth Alabama player to enter the transfer portal this season. He now joins defensive lineman Braylen Ingraham, kicker Jack Martin, running back Trey Sanders, defensive back Khyree Jackson and offensive lineman Damieon George.
