Sterling Dixon announced his commitment to Alabama Thursday.
Dixon attends Mobile Christian School in Mobile, Alabama. He garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites, and he is Alabama’s fifth 2024 commit.
He chose the Crimson Tide over LSU, Auburn and others. Alabama offered Dixon last summer doing camp, and the Tide have been able to get him on campus multiple time since then. His last visit to Tuscaloosa was last Saturday for the Iron Bowl.
At 6-foot-3 and 211 pounds, Dixon is a hybrid linebacker prospect. He has the potential to be an edge rusher or inside linebacker at the next level. The Crimson Tide are interested in lining him up at inside linebacker due to his ability to play in space.
