The injury occurred during the third quarter of the team’s 25-20 win over the Bears when defensive end Trevis Gipson came down on Hurts after a hit. Hurts also struggled a bit through the air against the Bears’ defense, throwing two interceptions and no touchdowns on the day.
Backup quarterback Gardner Minshew would be scheduled to start if Hurts can’t go.
As a whole, Hurts has performed as one of the best quarterbacks in the league in 2022 throwing for a total of 3,472 yards, 22 touchdowns with just five interceptions while completing 67.3 % of his passes. He’s also gotten it done on the ground rushing for 747 yards and 13 touchdowns through 14 games.
