A former scholarship player for Alabama football has found a new collegiate home.

Amari Kight, a four-star offensive lineman from the 2019 recruiting class, has committed to the University of Central Florida.

He made the announcement Friday via Twitter as he joins wide receiver, Christian Leary. Kight, Leary, and Javon Baker will play for Gus Malzahn, former Auburn head coach, at UCF. The 6-foot-7, 318-pounder played in 22 games as a reserve offensive tackle across four seasons. He can play left or right tackle, helping the Tide to two Southeastern Conference Championships (2020 and 2021) and a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2020.
