Alabama football’s five-star defensive back signee, Caleb Downs was named the All-American Bowl National Player of the Year Friday.
Downs is a product of Mill Creek High School in Georgia. He is a consensus five-star recruit and is widely regarded as the nation’s top safety prospect. The Georgia native will participate in the All-American Bowl Saturday.
Mill Creek won a state championship last season with a lot of production from Downs. He finished the year with 76 tackles, five interceptions and two pick-sixes. The Alabama signee also rushed for 390 yards and 20 touchdowns.
