Alabama fans are waiting for Bill O’Brien and Pete Golding to depart from Nick Saban’s coaching staff, but could someone else be poached as well?
According to a report from Hook ‘Em Headlines (Fansided), the University of Texas appears to be interested in Crimson Tide’s wide receivers coach Holmon Wiggins. The report cites an article from TFB, which is The Football Brainiacs, and is donor content for the Longhorns. Texas has had communication with Wiggins, and Steve Sarkisian is familiar with him after both served under Saban in 2019 and 2020. The Longhorns lost its wide receivers coach, Brennan Marion, to UNLV to be its receivers coach/passing game coordinator. Wiggins arrived to the Crimson Tide in 2019 after time at Virginia Tech and Memphis coaching receivers.

He’s become a marquee recruiter for the Tide and helped put receivers in the NFL Draft. He polished up Jerry Jeudy, DeVonta Smith, Henry Ruggs III, and Jameson Williams. Wiggins helped develop Jaylen Waddle and John Metchie for the next level.
He did not have a 1,000-yard receiver in 2022, but he has a chance to produce one next season.
Texas has its eyes on Wiggins, but will Saban keep him in Tuscaloosa? The offseason is upon us.
