He is under contract for the University of Alabama through 2024, but could defensive coordinator Pete Golding be headed to another program in college football?
Rumors have sparked on social media in the last few days of Ole Miss being interested in him.
Mississippi beat reporters and message boards for the Rebels have information about whether Lane Kiffin makes a move on Golding. The 37-year-old has been on Nick Saban’s staff for the Crimson Tide since 2018. He has served as defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach since 2019, helping the Tide to two Southeastern Conference Championships (2020 and 2021) and a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2020. He hopes to remain under Saban, but the speculation is growing for Golding to the Rebels.
