Alabama saw its first inside linebacker enter the NCAA transfer portal on Tuesday.
Demouy Kennedy came in the 2020 recruiting class as a four-star from Theodore (Ala.) High School.

A serious knee injury limited him to five games last season, but Kennedy helped the Crimson Tide to a College Football Playoff National Championship as a freshman. He served as an “emergency” running back in 2021 while being a core player on special teams. Kennedy announced his decision on Twitter to enter the transfer portal. Several fans have reacted to his move, but most wished him well. Pete Golding, Alabama’s former defensive coordinator, helped recruit him to the Tide. Golding left Alabama last week to become the defensive coordinator at Ole Miss. It would not be surprising to see Kennedy commit to the Rebels.
The reactions from Alabama fans to Kennedy’s portal decision are below.
