Anthony Jones has seen his recruitment kick into full gear this month.
Jones is a freshman at St. Paul Episcopal in Mobile, Alabama, and he currently holds eight D1 offers. He is listed at 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, and the rising recruit plays multiple positions for the Saints.
Auburn, Colorado, Georgia and Liberty have offered Jones this month. The 2026 recruit told Touchdown Alabama he is grateful for his early offers.
“It feels great,” Jones said. “I feel like my hard work is finally paying off and getting recognized. I am going to stay humble about it though.”
The defending back-to-back National Champion Georgia Bulldogs become the eighth program to offer Jones Monday. He describes it as a ‘dream offer.’
“It means a lot to me,” said Jones. “It was a dream offer to have. Getting it makes me feel better about myself. I feel that I made others proud also because they watched me grow a lot in one year.”
The Auburn Tigers offered Jones earlier this month. The Tigers will get him on campus for junior day Saturday.
“Auburn is cool,” Jones said. “I like their coaching staff and school. I am actually visiting there this weekend for junior day. Hopefully, I can meet more coaches and see the new facilities.”
Alabama football has not extended an offer to Jones as of yet, but he is expected to get a good look from the Tide. An offer from Alabama would be another big one for Jones.
“It would mean a lot, especially it being a home-state team and being offered by Nick Saban,” said Jones. “Alabama is also one of my dream offers.”
At 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, Jones has the frame to play inside or outside linebacker at the next level. St. Paul lines him up at inside linebacker, defensive end and wide receiver. He plans to become more explosive in the future.
“I definitely want to improve my speed and be more explosive, but there is definitely more to improve on,” Jones said.
