A lot of excitement is happening on social media for Alabama fans.
Nothing has been confirmed, but it appears that signs are pointing closer to the possibility of Jeremy Pruitt returning to the Crimson Tide as its defensive coordinator. He has been the most popular name among the fans to come to Tuscaloosa and get the defense back to playing elite football. Marvin Constant, an Alabama alum, created a case as to why Alabama needs to have Pruitt back running the defense. Constant led the Tide’s 1999 defense to a Southeastern Conference Championship victory over Florida.

“I gotta go Pruitt all day long,” Constant said on The Bama Standard about who his choice would be for Alabama’s DC.
“We know no one is going to touch Pruitt for a head coaching job for at least three to five seasons. That would give Alabama some level of stability as we move throughout this process. Other guys like Glenn Schumann and others … you might have them for a season or two before someone comes and takes them and gives them a head coaching job. We all say that Jeremy has a lot of baggage, but that baggage will also keep him in Tuscaloosa longer than anyone else we hire.”

Pruitt served in many roles under Nick Saban at Alabama from a player developer (2007-09) to defensive backs coach (2010-12), to defensive coordinator (2016-17). He assisted the Tide to four national championships and coordinated a scary defense in 2016.
