A plane from the University of Alabama was spotted at the South Bend International Airport to take Tommy Rees to Tuscalosa, according to the Athletic Notre Dame beat writer, Pete Sampson.
Rees, who is the Fighting Irish’s offensive coordinator, boarded the plane to fly to Tuscaloosa to interview for Alabama football’s open offensive coordinator position.

Rees started 30 games for Notre Dame quarterback, including 12 in 2013. His coaching career started at Northwestern as a graduate assistant in 2015, but Rees served as an offensive assistant with the San Diego Chargers (2016) before returning to his Alma mater. He has been a quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator for the Irish since 2017, helping the program average 30 plus points per game.
