During the national championship broadcast, former Georgia linebacker David Pollack proclaimed the Bulldogs to be the standard of college football directly in front of Alabama head coach Nick Saban nonetheless.
Georgia proved worthy of those statements that night when it throttled TCU to claim its second consecutive championship title and Pollack’s clip went viral with many agreeing.
But since the offseason began it’s clear that Alabama isn’t eager to let Georgia have that sort of spotlight on it for too long and Pollack seems to agree.
Last week Pollack acknowledged on social media that the Crimson Tide’s work in the offseason proved that it is gunning to dethrone Georgia as the kings of the sport.
We all know that Georgia Football is the King of CFB right now but Alabama is dang sure trying to change that. Signed #1 recruiting class. New DC coming soon. Upgraded their OC today to Tommy Rees. Legit stud play caller!

So far this offseason Saban and the Crimson Tide have welcomed another top-ranked recruiting class, signed up-and-coming Notre Dame offensive coordinator Tommy Rees and saw the return of veteran SEC defensive coordinator Kevin Steele to the staff.
Alabama still has a long way to go to prove it is officially back at the top of the sport, but it’s clearly laying the groundwork for a resurgence in 2023.
