Valley 6-foot-4 dual-sport ATH Cam Dooley earning SEC offers

Cam Dooley reported his first couple of SEC offers Wednesday via Twitter after Kentucky and Missouri offered him.

Dooley is a junior at Valley High School in Alabama. He now holds four D1 football offers, but he is also a star basketball player with a couple of opportunities to play on the hardwood at the next level.

The rising prospect feels like he is living a dream with offers starting to pour in for him.

“It is a great feeling,” Dooley told Touchdown Alabama. “It is something I have dreamed about.”

UAB and Georgia State were the first two programs to offer Dooley in football. He visited the Panthers last month, but he has not visited Kentucky or Missouri yet.

However, visits to Lexington and Columbia are in the works. There may be other visits being lined up in the future by Dooley with other programs on the verge of joining his recruitment.

“I have been talking to a few other schools,” Dooley said. “I feel like some may be close to offering me.”

The 2024 recruit is listed at 6-foot-4 and 195 pounds. He doubles as a quarterback and safety. Most programs like him at safety, but he does have some potential as a signal-caller. The Valley product is a willing tackler, who seems to embrace contact. His length gives him an obvious advantage in jump-ball situations.

On the hardwood, Dooley is a smooth and exciting player to watch with his all-around athleticism and impressive vertical.
