6-foot-5 QB George MacIntyre reacts to offer from Tommy Rees, Alabama

George MacIntyre earned an offer from Alabama football Saturday, becoming the first quarterback prospect to be offered with the Crimson Tide’s new offensive coordinator Tommy Rees on staff.

MacIntyre is a sophomore at Brentwood Academy High School in Brentwood, Tennessee. He holds more than 20 D1 football offers, including an offer to play football and basketball at FIU. The Tennessee product garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites.

MacIntyre’s Alabama offer came from Reese.

“It was definitely a good feeling,” MacIntyre told Touchdown Alabama. “Alabama is Alabama. Their name speaks for itself.”

The 2025 recruit also gave his thoughts on Rees.

“He seems like a cool guy, for sure,” said MacIntyre. “I am excited to see what he can do with the keys of the offense.”

MacIntyre plans to be in Tuscaloosa soon for a visit.

“I will be there some time in March,” MacIntyre said.

At 6-foot-5 and 185 pounds, MacIntyre is expected to continue to fill out his frame over the next two seasons. The new Alabama target can stand tall in the pocket and can also move around to extend plays.

MacIntyre accounted for 2,349 yards, 21 touchdowns and four interceptions during the 2022 football season.
