Ramsay LB Quinton Reese recruitment picking up steam

Quinton Reese

Quinton Reese is seeing his recruitment pick up steam after an impressive junior season.

Reese is a junior at Ramsay High School. He holds nine Division 1 offers after helping the Rams win a class 5A State Championship, including recent offers from Liberty, Alabama State, Troy and Marshall. The 2024 recruit feels his opportunities are opening up doors for his teammates at Ramsay.

“It feels amazing, not only knowing that my hard work is paying off, but also I am putting my school on the map and helping my teammates get recruited as well,” Reese said.

Reese’s recruitment is projected to continue to grow with other programs showing interest in him at the moment.

“Memphis, Duke, South Alabama, Georgia State, and Southern Miss,” said Reese when asked about the other programs recruiting him but have not offered yet.

At 6-foot and 210 pounds, Reese is one of the smoothest inside linebackers in coverage in the country. He drops back and moves like a veteran linebacker defending the pass. Coaches have also praised his physicality and his ability to play sideline to sideline.

Reese finished the 2022 football season with 155 total tackles, 24 tackles for loss, four interceptions and five sacks.

The junior wants to improve those numbers next season.

“I have heard from multiple coaches me being able to get from sideline to sideline and my physicality stands out while watching my film,” said Rees. “I feel like I need to work on shedding blocks and playing faster because I know on the next level it is just going to get faster and faster.”
