NFL media personality says Jalen Hurts’ Super Bowl performance was ‘legendary’

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (#1) celebrates a rushing touchdown in Super Bowl LVII against Kansas City.

Confetti did not represent the Philadelphia Eagles as it fell Sunday, but that is not on Jalen Hurts.

He put on a show for fans in Super Bowl 57 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Hurts showed every doubter he can make big-time passes, display accuracy, and lead his team from behind.

Kansas City had a 35-27 lead in the fourth quarter when Hurts guided the Eagles on a drive that resulted in a touchdown and a made two-point conversion. He tied the game at 35 when he left the field; however, Philadelphia’s defense could not control Patrick Mahomes. Hurts set a Super Bowl record for rushing yards (70) and rushing touchdowns by a quarterback (three) while tying the record for rushing scores for a player. He completed 71.1 percent of his passes (27-of-38) for 304 yards and a score.

Hurts impressed everyone, including Mahomes. Kay Adams, an NFL media personality, continues to be in awe of his performance at State Farm Stadium. She called Hurts’ showing “legendary” as the world saw him mature as a complete player.

“If you want to be great, this is greatness,” Adams said of Hurts’ performance.

“He strung together one of the greatest efforts in Super Bowl history for a quarterback, despite a shoulder injury. It was not just the numbers, he was lacing some absolute dots in tight spots. This is as sharp as I have seen him look as a passer. All Jalen has done since he was a freshman at Alabama is prove new batches of doubters wrong, year after year. It seems like every season these losers come up with new knocks on him, and he finds new ways to tell them all to bite him. It is crazy. We saw something really special on Sunday.”

Mahomes, the winning quarterback, stated after the game that people should not forget Hurts’ outing.

He had everyone’s attention in 2022 but Hurts gained more respect in the Super Bowl.
