Alabama football enrolled a good portion of its 2023 recruiting class in January.
Each of the Crimson Tide’s early enrollees will participate in the Crimson Tide’s full off-season program. Touchdown Alabama will highlight each of Alabama’s newest additions over the next few weeks in an article series.
We continue our series with all-purpose running back, Justice Haynes.
Justice Haynes

-Height: 5-11
-Weight: 200 pounds
–Summary: Haynes is one of the most accomplished running backs to ever come out of Georgia.
The former five-star running back finished his high school career with 7,758 rushing yards and 95 rushing touchdowns while averaging 9.9 yards a carry. He is fourth all-time in rushing yards and eighth all-time in rushing touchdowns in Georgia high school football history.
The Georgia native is a complete back at 5-foot-11 and 200 pounds. He runs with toughness, possesses impressive speed, is elusive in space, can catch the football out of the backfield and is an advanced pass blocker as a running back.
One of the most impressive parts of Haynes’ game is his contact balance. He can run behind his pads and power through would-be tacklers while running in between the tackles. He can also do damage in space by putting moves together really quickly before exploding up the field with his great burst.
The Crimson Tide returns two running backs, who enjoyed substantial playing time last season in Jase McClellan and Roydell Williams. Jam Miller also saw some snaps in late in games. Alabama’s new offensive coordinator Tommy Rees has featured multiple running backs in his offense in the past, so it is not bizarre to think Haynes could see immediate playing time in Tuscaloosa.
