Jordan Ross is feeling the push from multiple SEC programs ahead of a visit to Alabama football.
Ross is a four-star recruit of Vestavia Hills High School in Vestavia, Alabama. The 2024 recruit is considered one of the most physically-gifted edge-rushers in the 2024 recruiting class. A group of SEC schools are standing out to him at the moment as he begins to work through his loaded offer list.
“I will say Tennessee and Georgia,” Ross told Touchdown Alabama. “They are really great with it relationship-wise, and South Carolina. They are really great at talking to me along with Auburn. They are all really great at that. They are really great at trying to get to know their players. I am really trying to see how they all develop their players.”
Alabama offered Ross at the beginning of this month. The offer caught the in-state prospect by surprise.
“I was honestly surprised because it was out of the blue,” Ross said. “I was surprised because I talked to coach Saban a few times. I talked to him after the Texas A&M game. He was a pretty nice guy. He was very humble too.”
Georgia is a program Ross has heavy interest in. The back-to-back National Champions are in line to get an official visit from him.
“Their defense is unreal,” Ross said. “They destroy every single offense. I think they played Georgia Tech and they destroyed them. They are doing great in recruiting. They have great recruits. They are doing a really good job getting the best recruits to Georgia.”
Ross is listed at 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds. He is a long and athletic prospect who thrives when he is asked to play in space.
The Vestavia product put his talents on display at the Under Armour Next Camp in Atlanta Saturday. He ran a 4.4 forty and was explosive throughout drill work.
