Deion Sanders has his eyes set on another Alabama staffer.

On3’s Matt Zenitz reported on Wednesday that Sal Sunseri who was serving as a special assistant to the head coach for Nick Saban is expected to become the defensive tackles coach at Colorado.

Sunseri has previously served as an outside linebackers coach for Alabama before he was moved to an off-field role focusing on the NCAA transfer portal last season.

Sunseri has had two stints at Alabama as he made his first stop from 2009-11 as an assistant to the head coach and linebackers coach. He would then have stops at Tennessee (2012), Florida State (2013-14), the Oakland Raiders (2015-17) and Florida (2018) before returning to Tuscaloosa in 2019.

This is now the second coach Sanders has targeted from Alabama as he has also hired former safeties coach Charles Kelly as the Buffaloes’ defensive coordinator.
