Alabama defensive back, Brian Branch, who is considered by many to be the No. 1 safety prospect in this year’s NFL Draft, has met with a couple of NFL teams.
Branch revealed Thursday during interviews at the NFL Combine he has met with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers.
The New York Jets plan to meet with Branch on Thursday evening.
Each team has a first-round draft selection. The Jets will pick at No. 13, the Packers will pick at No. 15 and the Steelers will select at No. 17.
Branch enjoyed consistent playing time throughout his time at Alabama. He finished his career at Alabama with 172 total tackles, four interceptions and 27 pass deflections. The Georgia native declared for the NFL Draft after his junior season.
