Former Alabama linebacker Will Anderson Jr. gave his thoughts on New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones while speaking at the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday.

The two were teammates for one season and were big-time contributors to the Tide’s National Championship run in 2020.

Anderson Jr. spoke on the toughness and leadership that Jones displayed during the time that they spent together as teammates. “True story: Mac Jones was a great teammate.”

In the video below, Anderson Jr. recalled a particular instance when the team was finishing up their 4th Quarter Program, and Jones had a busted nose that was bleeding.

“We were walking around and I was dog tired and I was like man this is what Alabama football is about, and he walks up to me and says “stars don’t matter here,” said Anderson Jr.
