Bryce Young responded to the concerns about his height at the NFL Combine Friday.

Young is currently projected by many to be the first quarterback off the board in the NFL Draft.

However, concerns over his height and weight have been brought up as of late. ESPN’s Todd McShay said “If I’m a GM, I’m scared to death of drafting him (Young)” because of his height. The California native was listed at 6-foot and 194 pounds on Alabama football’s 2022 football roster.

Young addressed those concerns during his media availability.

“I’ve been this size, respectfully my whole life,” Young said. “I know who I am. I know what I can do. It’s fair. Everyone can speculate and ask whatever questions are necessary, but I’m going to continue to control what I can control. I am going to keep working my hardest to put myself into a position. I’m confident in myself. I know what I can. I’m just excited to that next level.”

Young will not workout at the combine this week.
