Bryce Young says meeting with Houston Texans went great

Bryce Young scrambles against Mississippi State

Bryce Young discussed his meeting with the Houston Texans Friday at the NFL Combine.

The Texans have the No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. They are a franchise, who could use a quarterback in the future, and Young could be it for them.

The Alabama quarterback said his meeting with Houston was filled with knowledge.

“My meeting with the Texans was great,” Young said. “I was super happy to be in that room. It was an amazing staff and to be able to talk ball with them asking me some questions and me to learn more about them, them to learn more about me, it was a great environment. Just being in that room, I got a lot of wisdom, so I’m super grateful for it.”

Young is a projected first-round pick after a decorated college career. He won the Heisman Trophy after the 2021 football season en route to leading the Crimson Tide to an SEC Championship and a National Championship appearance. He finished his career at Alabama with 8,356 passing yards and 80 passing touchdowns while throwing 12 interceptions.

The California native will not throw at the combine this week.
