Rydarrius Morgan was able to experience one of his dreams Saturday when he earned an offer from Nick Saban and Alabama.
Morgan attends Central Phenix City High School in Alabama. He holds more than 15 Division 1 offers after his recruitment exploded in January. Nick Saban spoke with the rising recruit during his visit to Tuscaloosa Saturday for junior day.
“During the visit, I had a meeting with coach Saban,” Morgan told Touchdown Alabama. “He told me he loved my film and loved the way I played. I was very excited. Being offered by Nick Saban has always been a dream.”
The Phenix City product also gave his thoughts on the Crimson Tide football program.
“Alabama is the most successful program there is in the country,” said Morgan. “How could you not want to play for them?”
Morgan’s recruitment hit another gear in February. He had four offers in January, but his offer list quickly grew with nine new offers the following month. He had 13 offers heading into March.
Charlotte, Appalachian State and Indiana joined his recruitment this month.
At 6-foot and 180 pounds, Morgan plays fast and violent with explosive closing speed as a safety.
The new Alabama target finished his junior campaign with 50 tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack and two interceptions.
