Nick Saban offers Saraland Sophomore DL Antonio Coleman

Antonio Coleman earned an offer from Alabama Saturday when he visited the Crimson Tide for Junior Day.

Coleman is a product of Saraland High School in Saraland, Alabama, and the sophomore is a member of the 2025 recruiting class. He now holds seven D1 offers after receiving an offer from the Tide.

Alabama football’s head coach informed Coleman of his offer.

“I was sitting with Nick Saban, and he talked to me about my abilities and what I need to work on, but in the end, he said “we would like to offer you an athletic scholarship,” Coleman said. “I was extremely excited.”

Coleman said he feels Alabama is impressive as a program on many fronts.

“I feel like Alabama has a great program as far as academics, strength and conditioning coaching, etc,” said Coleman. “It is just a good school all around.”

Austin Peay got Coleman’s recruitment started in October by becoming the first program to offer him. UAB, Marshall, Tennessee, Liberty and Memphis followed suit.

The 2025 recruit is listed at 6-foot-2 and 265 pounds. He is quick off the football and can disrupt plays early in their development. Coleman is also a relentless pass rusher when quarterbacks drop back.

Coleman feels his power and football I.Q. are the most impressive parts of his game at the moment.

“My biggest strength are how strong I am and how I recognize plays,” Coleman said.
