Bishop Burkhalter picked up an offer from Tulane Thursday, adding to his early offer list.
Burkhalter is a sophomore at Spanish Fort High School in Alabama. He now holds three D1 offers with his latest offer from the Green Wave and earlier offers from UAB and Rhode Island. The 2025 recruit credits his recruiting success so far to his faith and older brothers, who currently suit up for Rhode Island and Georgia Tech.
“It is just a blessing from God, and I am grateful to be in this position,” Burkhalter told Touchdown Alabama. “I have two older brothers, playing Division 1 ball, who really have paved the way and shown me the steps it takes.”
A few other programs are showing interest in Burkhalter at the moment.
“Liberty, Vanderbilt, Coastal Carolina, Army and Navy,” said Burkhalter when asked about those programs.
At 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds, the Spanish Fort sophomore is a physical player who can make plays off the edge and at inside linebacker. His moment is fluid, and he operates well in space. He believes his nose for the football and physicality are a few of his strengths.
“I’m naturally always around the football,” Burkhalter said. “I’m not afraid to meet you in the hole either. I could improve in pass coverage and analyzing film better.”
