Trashun Griffin has locked in one official visit as he continues his busy visit schedule.
Griffin is a 2024 defensive lineman prospect out of Bibb County High School in Alabama, and he garners a three-star rating from multiple recruiting sites. The junior holds more than 15 offers at the moment, including a recent offer from Mississippi State.
The Bibb County product has locked in his first official visit with a future Big 12 program, and he is looking into scheduling a few more.
“I just lined up my first official with Cincinnati for June 9th through the 11th,” said Griffin. “I plan on making an official visit with Mississippi State soon and with a few other programs.”.
Mississippi State joined Griffin’s recruitment Thursday when the Bulldogs offered him. He had great things to say about the SEC program after his visit to Starkville.
“I think the Bulldogs are a very strong, successful program, and I feel like they are going to accomplish a lot this year and even make a run to the championship,” said Griffin. “I feel like their coaching staff. I know their defensive line coaching has done a good job and put guys in the NFL. One good example is Chris Jones. He knows my position very well, and I think he can help me get to the next level.”
Cincinnati, Maryland, North Alabama, Troy, Georgia, Alabama and UAB have recently hosted Griffin. He has also scheduled visits to Western Kentucky, Louisville, Arkansas State and Liberty.
The three-star recruit is feeling the love from all the schools involved in his recruitment.
“All the schools are staying in contact with me,” Griffin said. “All of them are standing out. It’s going to be a hard decision at the end because I’m grateful for every opportunity, and I love all the programs.”
Griffin is looking to announce a commitment during his senior football season.
“I am really going to go off how I feel, but I plan to commit at least by mid-season or by my fourth game in,” Griffin said.
