Former Alabama cornerback, Pat Surtain came to the defense of Texas freshman quarterback, Arch Manning, Sunday after Texas’ spring game.
Manning was heavily criticized by his performance in the Longhorns’ spring game by many users on Twitter. Surtain let those users know he felt their criticism was unfair at this stage of Manning’s career.
“Y’all Folks Crazy… it’s easy to criticize watching through a screen smh ! He didn’t even play his first snap of real football yet lol,” Surtain tweeted.

Manning was 5-of-13 for 30 yards Saturday for Team Orange Saturday.
