Cayden Jones announced his commitment to Alabama football Friday, choosing the Crimson Tide over Notre Dame, USC and others.
Jones is a product of Christ School in North Carolina, and he is the Crimson Tide’s second 2024 linebacker commit. The North Carolina product is the Crimson Tide’s sixth overall 2024 commit.
Alabama hosted Jones over the weekend after offering him in January.
“The biggest takeaway from my last visit was the interactions with coach Bala,” Jones told Touchdown Alabama. “Everything felt very genuine, and I loved the energy.”
At 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, Jones is a hybrid linebacker. He shines when playing in space and dropping back in coverage while playing linebacker for Christ School. He has experience playing off the edge and as an off-the-ball linebacker.
The physical linebacker feels he can play wherever Alabama needs him.
“I’ve played a lot of positions, and I think that will help me fit wherever they need me,” said Jones
