Devin Williams made his third trip to Alabama since picking up an offer from the Crimson Tide Saturday.
Williams is a product of Buford High School in Georgia, and he is a 2025 recruit. He is rated as a four-star recruit by multiple recruiting sites, and he holds 26 offers, including a recent offer from the Georgia Bulldogs.
The Tide offered Williams in January. He made a trip to Tuscaloosa in March and return for another visit earlier this month. The four-star recruit was one of the top 2025 recruits in Tuscaloosa for A-Day.
“It was great,” Williams told touchdown Alabama. “I loved the game atmosphere and couldn’t imagine what it would be like at an actual in-season game.”
The young players on Alabama’s defense caught Williams’ attention during the Tide’s spring game.
“Even though they lost some key players to the draft on defense, the defense still looked elite,” said Williams. “They definitely have some young guys that can step up and fill those spots that they lost, definitely saw the defense making some great plays.”
At 5-foot-10 and 165 pounds, Williams has blazing speed and holds a PR of 10.86 in the 100-meter dash. Williams’ speed allows him to turn and run with any receiver as a defensive back and it makes him a threat to create an exciting play every time he touches the football.
