Could we see at least one true freshman for Alabama football start on its offensive line in the fall?
Kadyn Proctor, a five-star from Iowa, has the best chance. The 6-foot-7, 354-pounder is a massive player with the potential, technique, and tools to become a great athlete. Nick Saban has had several offensive linemen either start or play as true freshmen, including Cam Robinson, Jonah Williams, Alex Leatherwood, Jedrick Wills, Evan Neal, JC Latham, and Tyler Booker.
Proctor looked good in the Crimson Tide’s spring game. He anchored the second-team offensive line and did not allow a sack.
Proctor is competing with Elijah Prichett (redshirt freshman) for a starting spot at left tackle.
Last week, Stephen Smith of Touchdown Alabama Magazine discussed Proctor via In My Own Words.
Whether Saban chooses to flip Latham to left tackle or not, Smith said Proctor has to start up front for Alabama.
