The Houston Texans are excited about John Metchie’s progress.
As a former Alabama wide receiver, he missed his rookie season because of a treatable form of leukemia. Metchie has worked his way into participating in offseason workouts. According to KPRC Channel 2 in Houston, Texans’ general manager Nick Caserio said Metchie is in a ‘good spot.’ Caserio said Metchie is making progress and not showing any setbacks for the Texans.

He continues to make sure he is in the right situation to help contribute to the team.
Metchie, a native Canadian, helped Alabama win a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2020. He assisted the Crimson Tide two Southeastern Conference Championships in 2020 and 2021.
