The New York Jets are now on red alert from one of its star defensive players.
Quinnen Williams, a first-team NFL All-Pro defensive tackle, wants a new contract. He has seen a few of his peers get paid this offseason, including Da’Ron Payne, Jeffery Simmons, and Dexter Lawrence. Williams feels he is as good as those guys and deserves a pay increase. He recorded a career-high and led the Jets in sacks (12) in 2022, earning All-Pro honors and a Pro Bowl selection. The 6-foot-3, 303-pounder had 55 tackles, four pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery.

New York has not come to an agreement with Williams on a new deal. He has removed the Jets from his Twitter bio.
It reads “Defensive Tackle for …..” It will be interesting if both sides agree soon.
