He wants to continue his career with the New York Jets, but Quinnen Williams wants to get paid like a top defensive tackle.
Williams, a first-team NFL All-Pro selection in 2022, watched Da’Ron Payne, Jeffery Simmons, and Dexter Lawrence receive massive contract extensions in the offseason. Williams totaled a career-high and team-high 12 sacks last season.
He also recorded 12 tackles for loss, making his first-ever NFL Pro Bowl. According to Henry McKenna, an AFC East Reporter for Fox Sports, Williams is seeking between $25-$30 million per year in his upcoming contract.
“He loves the Jets. He just wants to get paid. Hopefully it doesn’t get messy,” the source said.
