After having good moments in Alabama’s spring game, Ty Simpson is back home in Tennessee.
As a former five-star in the 2022 class, the talented redshirt freshman is trying to fill the shoes Bryce Young leaves behind as the Crimson Tide’s next starting quarterback. The 6-foot-2, 203-pounder did not receive any meaningful reps in 2022, but Simpson is back to work with an elite quarterback training group. He is tossing passes with QB Country in Nashville (Tenn.), perfecting his footwork, arm strength, accuracy, and ball placement. Simpson has added muscle to his frame, and the ball looks good coming out of his hands. He has several beautiful passes in the A-Day game, but Alabama’s receivers failed to catch the football.

Simpson’s focus is on getting better and wanting to lead the program to a national championship.
