Roman Catholic freshman QB Semaj Beals loves Alabama

Semaj Beals earned an offer from Alabama football last week after impressing Alabama in person.

Beals is a product of Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and he holds 13 offers after picking up an offer from the Crimson Tide. His offer came after impressing Alabama with his throwing motion and mobility.

“Coach came to our practice, and he saw me throw,” Beals told Touchdown Alabama. “He liked my mechanics and footwork, so he told my head coach that he is going to offer me a scholarship. I was surprised. It almost didn’t seem real to me, But I knew my hard work would pay off.”

The Pennsylvania product went on to give his thoughts on the Tide, revealed his relationship with an Alabama linebacker and discussed his admiration for how Alabama’s offense operated with Bryce Young as its starting quarterback.

“I love Alabama,” Beals said. “I think they are a great school. They have a great balanced offense. Jihaad Campbell also plays for Alabama. He is like a big brother to me. I like how they use their quarterbacks. They let their quarterback be free and call the plays he likes depending on how the defense is set up. Their quarterbacks are basically like a coach he tells the coach what he wants to run and his game plan and the coach considers it.”

The 6-foot-1 prospect has a nice touch on his passes, and he has shown the ability to make a variety of throws. He flashes accuracy and good ball placement when throwing the football toward the middle of the field and when working outside.
