Alabama assistant coaches Kevin Steele and Robert Bala look to restore the Crimson Tide’s defense to an elite standard.
Both are doing it in recruiting for the 2024 class and beyond. Sterling Dixon, a talented linebacker prospect from Mobile Christian Academy, is one of the most exciting defensive players in the class. He brings size, quickness, speed, toughness, edge-bending abilities, and run-stopping abilities. Alabama fans have seen a lack of toughness and discipline in its defense during the last few seasons. Dixon believes he is the kind of player to restore a dominant mentality to the group with his style of play.

In a recent episode of The Bama Standard, Dixon classified himself as a ‘dawg’ and said ‘no one will outwork him.’
“My leadership separates me,” Dixon said. “I am willing to outwork the next man. I take pride in that. I am always going to be top-tier when it comes to those things. I will do the extra stuff to get better. I am going to be the one to try to make every play. I never take a play off. ”

Dixon has a mindset to do what is asked of him because he wants to make an impact as soon as possible. He carries himself similarly to former dominant Alabama defensive stars under Saban. Hopefully, he produces a successful senior year of high school.
