Trey Amos, a former Louisiana-Lafayette cornerback, is on Southeastern Conference soil. He announced via Twitter about his arrival on campus as looks to compete for playing time in the fall. The 6-foot-1, 197-pounder is an athletic defender with experience, carrying 60 tackles, 13 pass breakups, a forced fumble, and an interception through three years at Lousiana.

He led the Ragin’ Cajuns with eight breakups last season.

Amos will compete against Terrion Arnold to see if he becomes the starting cornerback opposite Kool-Aid McKinstry.
