Georgia legend tells why he thinks LSU makes statements against Alabama

Georgia football legend and college football analyst David Pollack feels LSU is in position to make a statement against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Alabama and LSU are 6-2, and both teams have an opportunity to reach the College Football Playoff.

There is a chance the loser of this game is no longer in playoff consideration. Pollack feels the door is open for LSU put a lot of people on notice in this matchup.

“I didn’t struggle with this pick near as much as some of the other ones,” Pollack said on “See Ball Get Ball. “I feel like LSU at home, I have confidence in them. I feel like LSU wins this game like 30 to 20. I feel like LSU’s hit their stride. I feel like I know who LSU is. I feel like I know what their offensive identity, everything about it to me feels like this team’s really playing at the highest level this season. LSU coming off the best two games of their season. Leavitt coming off of his best 2 games. LSU’s defense, seven sacks versus Auburn. You got Ross on one side, you got Umanmielen on the other side, like playing really, really good. But I don’t think Alabama’s been playing their best football. The leaky offensive line giving up a lot of sacks, and then the injuries at wide receiver. Not as many big plays down the field, more mistakes. This is the week that I feel like LSU could make a statement and be like, hey guys, just realize we coming.”

Both squads will get after it Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in Baton Rouge.
