Alabama lost two starting safeties from last season in DeMarcco Hellams and Jordan Battle to the NFL. It returns Malachi Moore, Kristian Story, DeVonta Smith and Jake Pope along with the addition of Caleb Downs, Tony Mitchell and Brayson Hubbard. Moore has the most experience among this group, which is why Alabama went to the portal for Key, to add depth, experience and a potential immediate impact player.
Key is expected to push for a starting spot within Alabama’s secondary right away.
