4-Star DB Devin Williams enjoys working out under Alabama staff

Devin Williams with Nick Saban

Devin Williams recently returned to Alabama to camp under Alabama’s coaching staff.

Williams attends Buford High School in Buford, Georgia, and he is a consensus four-star recruit.

The Buford product has visited Alabama multiple times since earning an offer from the Tide in January. He worked out under Alabama’s coaches for the first time during his latest visit. He also talked with multiple Alabama coaches.

“I did a few drills, 1 on 1’s, then 7 vs 7 with coach Saban, coach T-Rob, coach Bala and coach Wiggins all coaching us,” Wiliams said. “I took a tour of the weight room, did a photo shoot and met with Saban in his office as well as coach T-Rob in his office.”

The Buford product said he was grateful to have the opportunity to work under Alabama’s coaches.

“It was invaluable,” said Williams. “We went at it. T-Rob gave us a few coverages and the defensive backs had to execute, press and off-man. It got very competitive.”

At 5-foot-10 and 165 pounds, Williams has blazing speed and holds a PR of 10.86 in the 100-meter dash. Williams’ speed allows him to turn and run with any receiver as a defensive back and it makes him a threat to create an exciting play every time he touches the football.

Williams recruitment is in its early stages, but Alabama has his attention.
