In Saturday’s charity softball home run derby by Xavien Howard, Waddle showed impressive power and bat speed — cranking out five home runs in the first round of the derby. He did not win the contest; however, the native Texan had everyone on their feet.

Waddle tweeted at the Marlins on social media, letting them know he is available if they want him.

He made it to the final round of the derby before suffering a 1-3 loss to Bobby McCain of the New York Giants. Waddle is coming off back-to-back 1,000+ yard receiving seasons as a former first-round pick of the 2021 NFL Draft.
