Isaiah Bond seen working out in Florida with Jaylen Waddle

Alabama receiver Isaiah Bond (#17) runs against Louisiana Monroe defense during 2022 game at Bryant-Denny Stadium

Isaiah Bond was recently spotted working out with former Alabama player and Miami Dolphins’ wide receiver, Jaylen Waddle ahead of the Crimson Tide’s spring practice.

Waddle is coming off his second year in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins, where he finished the 2022 football season with 1,356 receiving yards and eight receiving touchdowns on 75 receptions. Bond, who wears the same number Waddle wore during his time at Alabama, finished his true freshman season with 17 receptions for 220 yards and one touchdown. The Buford, Georgia product saw action in 13 games.

The Alabama sophomore was one of the wide receivers Nick Saban praised during the 2022 football season.

“Some of the younger receivers on our team have made a lot of progress but haven’t had quite as much opportunity,” Saban said in November. “Some of them are playing on special teams. Kendrick Law is gonna be a really good player, No. 19. He’s been a good player on special teams. I’d like to get him more opportunities. Isaiah Bond has done really well as a freshman.”

Bond is expected to be involved in Alabama’s wide receiver rotation this upcoming season, and this spring will give him an opportunity to work towards more consistent playing time.
