Alabama football’s four-star linebacker commit, Sterling Dixon is ready to put his recruitment process behind him after officially visiting the Crimson Tide over the weekend.

Dixon attends Mobile Christian School in Mobile, Alabama. He is a consensus four-star recruit and one of the most versatile linebacker prospects in the 2024 recruiting class. The Alabama commit feels it is time for him to fully commit to his future with Alabama.

“I’m definitely going to just lock everything down,” Dixon said. “I’m pretty much done getting recruited. I pretty much canceled all of my visits after that one. I’m just trying to get ready to hone in on my skills, fix my mistakes because coach (Robert) Bala got me on the zoom today and just showing me like what I need to work on, what I need to get better on, so now I’m just going try to hone in all that stuff and get better before I get there.”

Alabama showed the Mobile product a lot of love during his official, where he got to connect with a long list of current Alabama players.

”When I first got there, I showed up at the hotel, they took us out to dinner and I ate with some of the guys,” Dixon told Touchdown Alabama. ”Then after dinner, I spent a lot of time with Deontae Lawson, Jihaad Campbell and Dallas Turner. Jihaad was my host. He played a pivotal role in just making sure I was straight, making sure I had fun and making sure I knew what was going on. It was fun. Everything the coaches told me, the players kind of just reiterated, and I felt good about it.”

Alabama hosted Dixon alongside four-star linebacker, Demarcus Riddick. Dixon plans to help Alabama recruit the Chilton County product.

“He is a great player,” Dixon said. “I’m trying to play alongside him. I want him to help me to just get better. I know I’m going to push him, and I know he going to push me. Iron sharpens iron. I want to just play with the best. I want to try to be the best.”

Alabama has commitments from eight 2024 recruits at the moment.
