Thompson freshman phenom QB Trent Seaborn reacts to Alabama offer

Trent Seaborn

Nick Saban offered Thompson High School’s freshman quarterback, Trent Seaborn after he led the Warriors to a 7v7 tournament championship in Tuscaloosa.

Seaborn is a 2027 recruit, and he is a rising freshman for the Warriors. He holds more than 10 D1 offers.

The Thompson product said he feels the Alabama program is designed to help its players achieve great things after pulling an offer from the Tide.

“Holding an offer from Alabama is incredible,” Seaborn said. “It’s a program that’s built on hard work, discipline, commitment and accountability. I think these are all values that you need in order to achieve greatness, and that’s what I’m striving for. But at the same time, as excited as I am for this offer and any offer I’ve gotten, I know enough not to get distracted or fixate on them and keep my focus on what it is right now that will really help me play in college in the future: working hard, developing, being a good teammate and student.”

Saban informed Seaborn of his offer from the Tide during a conversation with the 2027 recruit and his family.

The rising freshman is looking forward to building his connection with Saban and Alabama’s staff.

“I’m really excited to get to know Coach Saban better and continuing to build a relationship with Coach Rees and the rest of the staff,” said Seaborn.

The new Alabama target is known for his maturity on and off the field. He led the Warriors to a class 7A State Championship victory as an eighth grader with a five-touchdown performance.

Seaborn is taking his latest offer from Alabama in stride.

“Offers are great, but I know that if I don’t put in the work and get better, those offers will disappear when it’s time for them to become committable,” Seaborn told Touchdown Alabama. “And right now I look at an offer as an indication that the school is really interested in me, and I want to develop that relationship more going forward.”
