In-state 2026 LB Anthony Jones enjoys Alabama visit with family

Anthony Jones during Alabama visit

Anthony Jones made his way back to Tuscaloosa for an unofficial visit and to camp at the University of Alabama over the weekend.

Jones is one of the nation’s top underclassmen prospects. He attends St. Paul’s Episcopal High School in Mobile, Alabama, and he already boasts a head-turning offer list with offers from Alabama, Georgia, LSU and others.

The Crimson Tide offered the rising sophomore in February. He returned to Alabama to visit and camp last weekend.

“It was fun,” Jones said. “I had a great time, also my family was there, and they loved it too.”

Alabama’s outside linebacker’s coach Coleman Hutzler and Nick Saban monitored Jones closely during camp on Saturday. The Mobile product left Tuscaloosa feeling like he had added to his pass-rushing bag.

“It was cool, learned some new techniques for pass rushing,” said Jones. “We did a fourth quarter circuit, and the other recruits were not ready for that.”

The 2026 recruit made plays as an inside linebacker and as an edge-rusher during the 2022 football season. He finished the year with 130 tackles, 15 sacks, two interceptions, one pick-six and four touchdowns.
