Alabama’s duo of JC Latham and Tyler Booker bringing pain in fall

Alabama football could arguably have the two best players in college football on its offensive line.

It is one thing to become best friends with a teammate in high school, but a different brand of special happens when the friends become teammates again in college. JC Latham and Tyler Booker know each other well. They see each other as brothers and probably because they played together at IMG Academy. Both started as defensive linemen but got switched to offense.

Latham arrived as a five-star in 2021 while Booker came a year later as a five-star.

They have the same mindset of being physical, ruthless, and dominant. Both want the Crimson Tide to win a College Football Playoff National Championship, a Joe Moore Award, and everything in between. Latham and Booker are ready to bring pain to opponents in the fall, but will they play on the same side of the offensive line? Every offensive front for the Tide gets compared to the 2012 unit. Alabama had two physical freaks on the left side of its line as Chance Warmack and Cyrus Kouandijo had Eddie Lacy and T.J. Yeldon rushing for over 1,000 yards. Nick Saban and Eric Wolford (offensive line coach) could have this set up for Latham and Booker. Both could give the running backs a field day running off the left side or Alabama may have Latham at left tackle to help someone at left guard and Booker at right guard to help Kadyn Proctor (freshman) at right tackle if he starts.
